Areas of focus include: • Herd and flock health planning • Disease investigation and prevention • Nutritional management • Obstetrics and neonatal animal care • Hand rearing of young animals • Poultry flock health plans • Lifestyle block setup Each consultation is tailored to your goals, with the aim of improving both animal health and owner confidence.

Who I Am

I’m Dr. Sarah Clews (Sez), a lifestyle block veterinarian dedicated to helping owners provide the best possible care for their animals. My approach is built on evidence, compassion, and respect. I believe understanding each animal as an individual is the foundation of genuine wellbeing. Every patient, regardless of species or perceived value, deserves thoughtful and informed care. I’ve devoted my career to educating owners, supporting fellow veterinarians, and raising the standard of animal husbandry for small block animals across New Zealand.

Free Resources

Education is at the heart of my work. Alongside consultations, I share free resources through my YouTube channel, offering practical guidance for lifestyle block owners. These resources cover everyday animal husbandry, nutritional management, and preventative animal care strategies.

Online Courses Coming!

There's a lot happening behind the scenes at the moment. My online animal care courses in NZ are currently in development, with practical, in-depth content designed to give you clear, confident guidance you can apply straight away. Topics include animal husbandry courses, neonatal animal care, and farm animal welfare principles. I'm looking forward to sharing them with you when they're ready!
